Join the Spice Cabinet (free) and send a request on the Private events page with your date, location, and guest count. The form signs you up. Within 2 business days Sammy texts or calls for a quick consultation to plan the party and confirm the date.

Reservations are members-only so Sammy knows who she's parking the bus for. Joining is free, takes 30 seconds, and comes with member perks.

When your invoice is paid in full. Sending a request doesn't reserve the date, and it stays open to other requests until the invoice is paid.

Reserve the Bus is 90 minutes for 6 to 10 guests: $150 at the early-adopter rate for the first 20 private events, then $225. The Boutique Experience is a $300 reservation plus $500 in prepaid book credit for your guests, so $800 minimum. A Book Club Retainer (quarterly visits, prepaid for the year) is priced on request.

No. After your consultation you get one invoice for the full amount, paid online. Early-adopter requests made at the launch party pay nothing until the date is confirmed.

Not with Reserve the Bus: there's no purchase minimum, and guests shop if they want to. With the Boutique Experience, the $500 book credit is prepaid, so your guests shop on you.

With the Boutique Experience, about a week before the party Sammy sends you a short form to collect your guests' wish lists. She orders the books from her distributor, which usually takes about 3 days. She can't guarantee every title will arrive in time.

Travel up to 25 driving miles from Canton is included. For events farther away, travel is added to your invoice.

On a flat, paved spot with clearance from low branches and wires. The request form asks about both, and Sammy confirms during your consultation.

Yes. Extra time is $25 per 30 minutes when the schedule allows and Sammy approves it.

Goodie bags for Reserve the Bus guests (included with the Boutique Experience), a gift stack for the guest of honor, and Blind Date with a Book bundles. Mention them in your request and Sammy will add them to your invoice.

Reserve the Bus is built for 6 to 10 guests. Guests shop in small groups so everyone gets time at the shelves. For bigger groups, choose the Boutique Experience and Sammy will plan the flow.

More than 48 hours before the event: full refund. Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours: no refund. Boutique book credit can't be refunded once custom books have been ordered.

One reschedule is free if you ask at least 24 hours before the event, subject to availability.

Private events are paid by online invoice. On the bus, cards and mobile wallets are accepted.

Not yet. Books and gifts are sold in person on the bus. Private-event invoices are the only online payments.

The collection is curated for adult readers. The spiciest shelves are 18+, and Sammy will point the way.
